Description
Some years ago I created a series of VRML models representing various classical Greek pottery forms. They were textured (which these STL models are not) and the derived STL models are to an approximate scale of 1:12 the originals, as dollhouse furniture/accessories. Kraters - used to adjust water/wine ratio. Subtypes are Calyx (flower-like), Bell (shaped), Column (decorations), and Volute (decorated with spiral pattern by the handles). Hydraea - used to pour water. Kylix - broad plate with foot and handles, used to drink wine or eat soup. Could be hung on the wall by its handles. Pelike - water container. Psykter - used to cool wine. Amphoras - storage containers. The Nolan variant was found at Nola, Italy. Shipping amphoras were larger and came to a point at the bottom for securing in racks or sand ballast.
