Description

The original's design isn't very durable and with age becomes brittle and prone to snapping. I designed this to be more beefy. Instead of the back half clipping onto the front, the screws just pass through the front half and bite into the back. I designed this to have just a bit of play. The mechanism freely turns for me. How that turns out on different printers with different filament I can't guarantee but I think it should work broadly for people. I printed with PETG. PLA I'm sure wouldn't hold up in heat. I didn't figure out what size my screws are but they just barely pass through the front half. Not meant for a machine screw. A wood or sheet metal screw should work. Just make sure it's long enough to engage with most or all of the back half. I went with 6 walls to ensure the plastic holds up well to the threads cutting into it. Screw your screws in while just holding the housing to create the threads. Then it'll be much easier to screw them in while installing. Dropping this through the hole to install was a tight fit and only goes in one way (had to rotate it around after getting it in there). You can't install it with the adjuster rod inserted. I used a little rubber band wrapped around the top to hold it together while inserting. This is for the vertical adjuster (I think - I have yet to reinstall my headlight and start adjusting). I haven't looked at the other adjuster so I have no idea if it will work for that one.
