Description
This is a chopped-up, scaled-up version of bataci's wonderful self-centering eyepiece holder. I was gobsmacked when the very first print securely gripped my monstrous SWAN 40mm Holy Hand Grenade eyepiece, which is 542g. Even turned upside down, the holder grabs it perfectly safely, and it slides in with ease. All I did was slice off some of the outer bits and scale it up by a factor of 2/1.25 and it worked. First. Time! The leaf springs are just great, you don't need a setscrew, it prints without supports, and it doesn't bugger up the eyepiece barrel. The M42 female threads came out tight on my Bambu P1S with PETG, so much so that I replaced the adapter's metal M42 threads with a 3D-printed part scaled down by 1%. So maybe slice off the bottom and prototype this with whatever you're going to screw it onto before you commit to the whole thing.
