Description
6x M3x25mm screws are required for assembly. Print inlays and ring seal in TPU . The seal is best printed in 100% infill - concentric. For the inlays, use 2-4 walls and no more than 0.8 mm top surface thickness. Use 5-8% infill for harder types of TPU (Shore A90 and higher) and up to 15% for softer types (Shore A55-80, e.g. Ninjaflex Soft). The outer shell can be printed in any rigid plastic (most composites or PLA are a great choice; non-filled PETG or ABS are still ok). The hinge clips are better to be printed in fatigue-resistant plastic (Nylon, PP-GF, PETG). Do not drill or pre-tap the screw holes before assembly, they are designed to be tapped with the screw and the proximal holes are slightly smaller then the distal ones to hold the screws securely. The inlay parts are designed to accomodate a 25.4 mm high HDD with 0.8-1 mm extra vertical space for sticky tape fixing the inlays to the box. If you want to ensure the snug fit without using tape, please increase the heght of a flat part of the inlay by 0.8-1 mm in a slicer.
