Work in progress Materials: Screwdriver 3x M4x8mm screws if using heatset inserts 3x M4 heatset inserts if using. https://www.mcmaster.com/94180A351/ Drill to drill holes into cargo cover trim panel. PETG, ABS, ASA to print it in. Any will work but in that order for least to most fit Made this adapter to make use of the cargo cover plates on my old 4Runner. The main plate fastens to the cargo cover trim piece with 3x M4x8mm screws. The plate has a female dovetail joint so various mount plates can be attached. I've included a few files here- Cargo_Mount_Adapter_Plate.stl - This is the plate that mounts to the cargo cover trim piece Cargo_Mount_Adapter_Plate_TEMPLATE.stl - a 2 layer extrusion of the above file, just used to mark up the 3 holes you need to drill in the cargo cover trim piece Hook.stl - A basic hook I made to test the fit and stuff. This has a 0.2mm offset and still fits loose for me so I'll be reducing the offset, but of course printers vary on tolerances. (Coming back here later to say I've found .18 offset to be perfect using PETG on a Bambu P1S) Blank_plate.f3d - This is the actual Fusion360 file for the male side of the dovetail. It's just a blank plate you can use to design whatever adapter you want. This file has the exact dovetail dimensions with no offsets applied so you can tune your own fitment. In the photos listed here there's a drawing of the dovetail dimensions in case you want that. Some notes on the installation: I'm an idiot and my gift to you in that regard is that I didn't have the foresight to make the holes big enough to fit the stock screws that mount the trim piece to the truck through the printed adapter. And I'm not doing it. Because of that you'll have to Drop the screws into the cargo cover mount trim piece as if you're installing it. Tape the exposed ends in place so they don't fall out Install the printed mounting plate to the cargo cover trim Cirque du soleil both screws into the holes in the truck and fasten them down. I used heatset inserts to add threads to the adapter plate but you could just send a sheet metal screw through it bruther idk up to you- here's what I used: https://www.mcmaster.com/94180A351/ But yeah again work in progress, would love if others used or improved on this design and made a few cool mounts for it. If I make more mounts I'll add them here. Update 4/9/26: Added 3 files A slot insert that has 5.6mm diameter holes spaced 40mm apart. These holes are sized for the above linked M4 heatset inserts and allow you to put 40mm spaced holes on whatever accessory you want to attach to the insert. I put a solid infill modifier around the insert holes. A molle panel type thing to mount stuff. This has the 40mm spaced holes to attach to the above slot insert. I used M4x8mm screws to attach it A loop in the same design as the hook. Not sure what it can be used for but I made one anyways.
