5x7 - 6x9 speaker adapter

A speaker adapter to fit a 6x9 speaker to a 5x7 mounting location. Height designed to allow clearance of speaker basket. Modelled off an Alpine Type R (SPR-69C) and designed to fit Ford Falcon mounting holes. Will not fit rear parcel shelf with stock speaker grills fitted. Modifications will most likely be required. Assembly: Uses a 3mm diameter rubber gasket (available at Bunnings) to seal against the speaker, recommend gluing in with a few dabs of super glue (CA). Prints in 2 halves. Slot halves together and plastic weld together with spare filament for best results. Ensure to weld deep enough to bond them together tightly. and fill any gaps to prevent leakage. Install closed cell foam strip on bottom of adapter. NOTE: Adapter will need to be screwed down prior to installing speaker. Bolts may be required to install into original holes, or alternatively screws and screw clips may be used to secure adapter.
