Description

This model is just a remix of the magnet tools in @dkarjadi's much more comprehensive set. His magnet tools were great, but I prefer tight fit for my magnets, which means I often need to hammer them into place. A plastic-only magnet tool, I found, was burying the magnet into it because it couldn't resist the hammer blows. This magnet tool is designed for using a 25mm 4mm bolt to be screwed in from the back and touch the back of the magnet, so when you hit the tool you're hitting the top of the bolt, and there's theoretically no stress on the plastic part of the tool. As currently designed, this is best with 6x3 mm magnets, because that allows about 1mm of the magnet to stick out from the top. Given the fact that this is designed for all the stress to be along the bolt, just print it upright. No support is necessary. You'll want to print two of these, in different colors so you can tell them apart, and have magnets installed into them (I used a bit of superglue) so the two magnet tools are attracted to each other. Use whatever infill percentage you want. If you want to tweak this, the parameterized source file for this is on onshape .
