Description
Dual-Piece Assembly: Print the same model twice to create a complete enclosure. Spot Welding Ready: The design includes dedicated openings for easy access with spot welding pens. Thermal Management: Features a "breathable" open-frame structure to allow airflow, which is critical for Ni-Cd or Ni-MH cells during charging. Self-Aligning Tabs: Four interlocking corner tabs ensure the two halves align perfectly. Secure Fastening: Designed to be secured with zip ties (cable ties) or adhesive. Using zip ties is highly recommended to allow for easy battery replacement in the future. Technical Specifications: Internal Diameter: 14.55 mm per cell (optimized for standard AA cells). Configuration: 6S (6 cells in series). Material Recommendation: PETG is strongly recommended over PLA due to its higher heat resistance, especially if using Ni-Cd cells which can generate heat during charge cycles. Use Case: Originally designed for emergency lighting kit battery replacement. Printing Tips: Supports: Minimal or no supports needed depending on your printer's bridging performance. Infill: 20-30% for structural integrity.
