Description

After receiving the Project Hail Mary 70mm IMAX film strip collectable, I was searching for a quick and easy way to display it. I found that people suggest buying a cheap light box on Amazon and taping it in since the 70mm is too tall for the slots, but I decided to go a step further and just modify the light box itself to fit the 70mm snugly. Note: This modification only fits one 70mm strip in the center of the box and maintains the space on the top and bottom lines for the included light box letters, as pictured. Second note: The length of the modification dividers is slightly shorter than the light box dividers so that it can fit diagonally on a 220mm x 220mm print bed. Instructions: Purchase the BONNYCO Cinema Light Box from Amazon Print both top and bottom pieces in their current configuration for maximum strength. I suggest regular supports, not tree. Remove the dividers on the light box by sliding them to the left and pulling toward you. Replace with the new dividers by inserting them into the holes and sliding to the right, with the "longer" side toward the middle. This is what gives the 70mm strip space to slide in nicely. Enjoy!
