Description
InnerBushman has provided us with a fantastic alternative TPU spring for my DIY CAD mouse / Spacemouse project. Because this spring doesn't require a mount above and below the magnet plate because it is all combined into one, the mouse can be made smaller. InnerBushman has already provided a smaller case with his design but I thought I would see if I could produce one based on the original design. This is the result. The case is 7mm smaller than the small case version I did for the original TPU spring version which was 6mm smaller than the original case. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media The changes needed to the mechanism are replacing the M4x40mm central bolt with one that is M4x25mm. I also replaced the M3x20mm bolts that mount to the bolt plate and sensor plate with M3x12mm ones. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media With these changes making the mechanism more compact, the case here or the one from InnerBushman will fit. The curvature of the case has been changed from the original to make sure it doesn't interfere with the button mounts and this change requires slight changes to the buttons to match the curve. The base was automatically updated with the case changes. I don't use it but I have included it for those who do. I did suggest, with my make of the alternative TPU spring, that I may update the knob on InnerBushmans version but I have not done that as it works as it is.
