Description
I redesigned an alternative face plate for vertical use, and with 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C, modern fuses and speaker clips to easily connect test cables. So I redesigned with the following features: Double USB-A + USB-C connection using a car lighter socket adapter to keep the parts cheap and easily available Banana plugs AND Speaker clips I find way easier to easily connect test cables Modern mini fuses I used the following additional parts for this face plate: Buck/Boost converter (~13 CAD): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006387669453.html Speaker terminal clips (~4 CAD): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000446277100.html Essager 30W car phone charger with USB-A and USB-C (~4 CAD each): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005928599654.html Banana plug connectors (~4 CAD): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006430223084.html Micro 10A car fuses (~ 3 CAD): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000541087990.html Pure nickel strips for the car socket adapters (~ 4 CAD): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005509648053.html I cut the speaker terminal clips using a wire cutter along the red lines below, flush to the main body on the short end, and with a 45 degrees cut so its hold nicely with the provided model. I then used some strong glue to fix it in place. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media The nickel strips make contact with the male car socket USB charger. The car phone charger is then push in the adapter, it should fit well enough with friction to keep it easily replaceable. The strips position are illustrated below. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
