Description
Support to be attached/glued to the rear grille of the Amiga 1200, it can hold any portable screen with VESA 75. It allows the screen to be folded over the keyboard, making the A1200 a sort of portable (some space left for a protective soft pad between the screen and the keyboard). I used quality double-sided tape along the gaps in the bottom of the main base to attach it to the Amiga (6 strips, all of them 16 cm long, 1 x 6 mm wide, 5 x 3 mm wide). Edited 260417: replaced the main base with one with 8 drill holes added (1,1 diameter) for M1.2 x 16 mm screws, to be found here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005849163899.html . It should help a lot with fixing the base, but I still recomend to add the double-sided tape, it helps to distribute the pressure. Also, use pñlastic washers between the metal screw and the bottom grille. You can see the transparent model with the drills in one of the images. Edited 260418: suggested by Jaimie at the Discord PiStorm channel and by Fireboy in the Spanish Amiga Telegram group (yep, both had the same idea almost at the same time, so thanks to both), I've included a plate with drill holes to be place below the grille, fixed with the screws, so the monitor base will be firmly attached. See image. It is articulated, so you can position the screen in different ways, and it's made with GoPro joints, so you will need som GoPro screws. Btw, I made it for a A1200, but it should work in an A500 or A600 too. Used together with my USB-C power supply ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7250941 ) and a powerbank, you'll have a portable Amiga. I used a Creality Ender 3 Pro, infill 80%, supports, calibrated with a 0'018 mm metallic gauge.
