Description

After printing the Pastamastic Respooler that was designed for a drill to speed up winding, I then noticed that there were several motor mounts available as well. However, one thing I noticed the mounts mounted the motor to the side and the receiving shaft would bounce in and out from the gears and wouldn't wind well, or at all. Found some shaft holders and such but I found them unhelpful as well. I came across this mount that I decided to remix as my motor, which was bought for the other styles of motor mounts would only fit one of the screw holes and felt I needed more stability with the amount of vibration. I also added some holes on the two shafts that pass through the Pastamatic as the vibration tends to slide the mount out. I just slide a screw in them to stop the motor mount from falling out of the assembly (I couldn't find my cotter pins but they'd work better, just don't close them so you can remove them when you need to remove the spool). I also had to remix the shaft that goes into the receiving shaft as well as the gear with the model didn't fit my motor and decided to just remix the model to go directly onto the drive shaft instead. I printed these in ASA (pink was the only ASA I had) for strength and tried my best to make it as strong as possible (I'm still new to 3D printing and modelling so others may be better as deciding the better settings for this, you'll also need to properly orient them on the printing plate so you won't need supports). I got them motor from amazon , and the mounting screws are M3x8mm . I also bought this motor control , which I plan on designing a structure for it as well and will also upload that when it's done.
