Description

A friend of mine who's passionate about archery came with this request. It should be called an "arrow cradle", but it's actually good for whatever resembles a stick. In my understanding its purpose is to organise / hold the shaft of the arrow while assembling / glueing it. I designed it a little fancy / weird. It could absolutely (and maybe should) be of an easier shape... but i like the way it looks with its two types of strange columns. A little bit over-structured as well: it's very very sturdy but it was a requested parameter. At the end it gets close to 0.5kg. Holes number: 64 Holes diameter: 8.3 mm You have to print: Bottom; Top; n. 2 legs called "Type 1"; n. 4 legs called "Type 2"; the central leg. Be sure to orient the objects properly. Legs must be printed in a horizontal position (the corner legs require a bit of support to maintain proper shapes). Obviously the top should be printed inverted. I used my Elegoo CC2 with 0.4 nozzle. Printer settings: layer height: 0,28 line width: 0,48 Infill 13% gyroid (I printed all the parts with this res but I suggest to higher the resolution for legs eg. 0,2 / 0,42). Material: PLA (I suggest matte colour) To assemble: just put a drop of glue in the leg slots and push the legs in, exactly how you would do with a plastic garden table. Turn upside down and repeat, merging the top part. Ciao :)
