Description
This mounts a AS5600 magnetic encoder onto a NEMA 17 stepper motor, enabling precise and absolute positioning of the shaft. The diametric magnet that pairs with the encoder needs to be glued precisely at the center of the motor shaft, so I've included positioning tools for doing so. Note that the MT6701 is a drop-in replacement/upgrade over the AS5600 encoder by having 16384 pulses per revolution (14 bits) as opposed to the 4096 pulses per revolution (12 bits) of the AS5600. The housing for the MT6701 can be found here . #####Screws: For mounting AS5600 board to housing: M3x6mm, quantity 2 For mounting the housing to NEMA 17 stepper motor: M3x(original screw length + 10mm) , quantity 4 #####Instructions for painting the text: Fill text with paint (may need to apply multiple coats of paint to ensure crevices fill in completely), then wait to dry Sand down surface using coarse (220 grit) sandpaper Sand down surface using fine (400 grit) sandpaper
