Description
I PAID FOR THE WHOLE PRINTER SO I'M GONNA USE THE WHOLE PRINTER ahem Not to be left out of all the fun that the other CORE One+ users get, this replacement vent grille for the community version of the CORE One MMU3 has an arm that enables the use of the automatic ventilation opener/closer on the CORE One+. The outer handle on the original vent is retained in case you still want to manually open and close it. Print in PETG or your high temp filament of choice. When installing, make sure that there is NO BINDING and that the vent grille moves freely both opening and closing. Test this with your typical filament spool load to ensure this still works as expected when it's fully loaded, since the spool weight may introduce binding. If there is any binding whatsoever, this will prevent the machine from opening/closing the vents effectively. I'm no expert in 3D modeling so this isn't exactly the most professionally designed part, so it's a little rough around the edges (metaphorically speaking.) A few hours in Tinkercad did the job here (which were promptly lost after some unknown browser shenanigans prevented saving, but I got the STL exports before my work disappeared). Despite being amateur-ish, I can attest it DOES work - see these short GIFs: 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Since ventilation directly affects printer performance, you use this at your own risk. I'm not responsible if you install this and it makes your printer get blowed up real good. I take it if you've already gotten this far then you already understand that, though.
