Description

I wanted a phone holder for my bedside table, and the small Multifunction Arm System works great, but it couldn't hold the phone at the angle I wanted. This allows for full adjustability. The magnets are arranged in a 50 mm diameter circle that should be compatible with Apple's Magsafe specifications. I've also made a threaded connection that connects back to the Multifunction Arm System. Required Hardware for Phone Mount: 4x M3 by 6 mm socket head cap screws 10x 6 by 6 mm round magnets (alternately you can use 20x 6 by 3 mm, or 30x 6 by 2 mm magnets) A M6 socket head cap screw (16 mm long or longer, I used a 25 mm long bolt) You can also substitute a 1/4"-20 socket head cap screw for the M6, which is the standard for camera mounts. The all parts should be printed with 0.1 mm layer height to get as smooth of a surface as possible and/or accurate threads. Print two Half Balls, and glue them together around the M6 or 1/4"-20 bolt, using two short pieces of filament as alignment pins. Be careful to not let any glue get squished out when clamping the two halves together. You will want to insert the ball into the nut before you thread on the phone holder. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
