Description
Battery charger case for 18650 + tp4056. You will need: 18650 lithium batteries. Mine was repurposed from a laptop. TP4056 Lithium Battery Charger Protection Module. Charges and protects battery. Spot Welder and tabs. Do not solder to the ends of an 18650 battery. Soldering iron. Wire Glue gun - used to hold the board battery and end-cap on. (I was lazy and didn't create snap tabs or screws) Optional - I used transparent PLA to redirect the status lights outside the case. Optional - dupont connector for the external wire (female so you don't short the battery. You could also just solder it to your project. Building: Cut and lay out all 4 wires and tabs before you start soldering. Plan your wire management. The inner wires need to be fairly accurate for length, the inner cavity can give a bit space to work with. The battery tabs should fit in the groove below the battery. Solder the wire to the tabs, do not put solder on the battery. Put tape or heat shrink or hot glue over the sharp edges of the metal tabs so they do not accidentally splice and short the other wires. I used a glue gun to close it up and hold things in place. I did not have heat insets that would fit and I didn't want to use 3d-printed tabs as I don't want the end to come off. You can re-mix this in onshape.com
