by @CriptasticHacker My website: https://cripsrise.neocities.org/ https://hackaday.io/CriptasticHacker https://www.youtube.com/@CriptasticHacker These are replacement (honeycomb pattern) covers for the mesh air holes in the Beezahut the Beezahut: https://www.etsy.com/listing/265321585/ https://byshoneyfarm.com/product/beeza-hut/ Allens Bees: https://80522a-2.myshopify.com (where I get the bees for the Beezahut) The concept: I learned to feed the bees using BPA-friendly bottlecaps with honey inside. It works quite well, except the bees often fall in and get stuck! So I made these 3D printed tops that mimic a flower. Bees can drink from the back, or crawl into the “buds.” This way they can drink to the last drop of honey. They seem to enjoy crawling around and exploring on them too! These are a straightforward print. • For use with 30.5mm and 31mm cap sizes (mine are from Alo drinks) • PLA, 100% infill (higher temp is suggested if steam cleaning. I just let them sit in soapy water) • 50mm/s speed for first 2 layers, then full highspeed • Supports = yes (tree supports) • Support x,y distance = 0.5 – 1mm • Support z distance = 0.25mm • Slicer: Orcaslicer • Printed on a Creality K1C • Textured PEI buildplate (no glue, but feel free to use if it helps) • -0.025mm Z offset in printer Gcode Please leave a heart ❤ if this helps you! Makes me happy :) I also have other Beezahut add-ons in my designs list, and the honeycomb pattern so you can make your own too :)
AI Analysis: These are decorative art sculptures designed to represent beekeeping elements, specifically honeycomb structures. Each piece features a honeycomb pattern and is intended for display as part of a beekeeping-themed arrangement or educational exhibit. The sculptures are crafted to visually represent the intricate honeycomb architecture and the role of bees in producing honey.
