by @CriptasticHacker My website: https://cripsrise.neocities.org/ https://hackaday.io/CriptasticHacker https://www.youtube.com/@CriptasticHacker These are replacement lids for Mason Jars using a honeycomb pattern! They also have a slotted input for the cages that Allen's Bees delivers by mail, which then get transferred to my Beezahut. Allens Bees: https://80522a-2.myshopify.com the Beezahut: https://www.etsy.com/listing/265321585/ https://byshoneyfarm.com/product/beeza-hut/ The concept: Local beekeepers like to catch bees with mason jars. It's easier for them. but these are difficult to insert into the Beezahut and get bees out of without them flying all over my room. This adapter makes it so I can lay the jar on it’s side, and wait for the bees to enter the Allen’s Bees cage which has food in it and is warmer. After they migrate, I can remove the cage, put in the blue plug, and transfer it easily to the Beezahut. These are a straightforward print. • PLA, 40% infill • 50mm/s speed for first 2 layers, then full highspeed • Supports = yes (tree or regular is fine) • Make x,y distance from the support material 0.5mm – 1mm (for easy removal) • Make z distance from the support 0.25 – 0.3mm(for easy removal) • Slicer: Orcaslicer • Printed on a Creality K1C • textured PEI buildplate (no glue) • -0.025mm Z offset in printer Gcode Please leave a heart ❤️ if this helps you! Makes me happy :) If you want more mason jar sizes, lmk! I don't know if there are standard ones.
