Description
I designed a taller and wider front wheel, along with a taller rear wheel with more teeth, for the self-driving sprinkler tractor. These changes were made for two main reasons. First, the original design could sometimes get stuck in the grass and fail to move properly. Second, the tractor would occasionally stop riding on top of the hose and drift away from its intended path, which resulted in uneven watering. The front wheel includes two different mounting models, one of which is 5 mm taller than the other. I am currently using the taller version. The design allows the tractor to work with wider and taller hoses, while still ensuring that it remains properly positioned on a standard 1/2-inch hose. For the rear wheel, I increased the number of teeth from 12 to 18 and made the teeth 10 mm taller than in the original design. This should improve traction and help prevent the tractor from getting stuck in the grass. I am also providing the STEP files for both models, front and rear wheels, so you can create or adapt the versions that best fit your needs. I hope these files are helpful.
