So, glueing the house to the chimney base is probably the best idea but it should fit together nice and tight. The drawer that is also the perch should also be a snug fit so it does not just fall out. The holes in the chimney are to mount the bird house, then you snap the house onto the base. You can glue it together at this point and it will hide the mounting screws.
