Description
A redesign / remix of the 100mm blast gate by PeterH1500. I originally scaled down his model to suit 42mm PVC push fit tubing. This worked but resulted in very thin walls. I therefore decided it would be a good CAD learning exercise to follow his design in Onshape and produce one with the correct dimensions but thicker walls. I also combined 2 blast gates to provide a two way system with a simple cross beam linkage. I included connecting tubes printed in TPU and a Tee piece to join the blast gates together. I made the lever arms a little bigger and printed these at 30 degrees to the bed for extra strength as the square drive tends to break if printed upright. I use Esun PLA+ for all parts and printed using Cura with Tree supports on an Xvico X3S.
