Description
This design is a remix of Juan Callon's really cool belt tensioner design (I remixed so that each belt end has it's own clamp, which may make it a bit easier with tightening and less likely to slip) - mounted onto the BMG V6 MGN12H direct drive toolhead (that I've mounted onto my Tevo Tarantula carrying a linear rail - the stock version of this toolhead is designed for a 2020 extrusion and thus the stock belt mount did not fit). The belt tensioner mount is mounted onto the (remixed) BMG extruder bracket and sits below it. To assemble, first place the 2 nuts on the bottom of the idler (and take a screw to pull them up until they bottom out). Then place the other two nuts that hold the belt clamp in a similar way. Mount the tensioner mount below the (also remixed) BMG mount with 2 M3x16+ screws (I used M3x20). Then mount the BMG extruder as usual. Next, mount the 2 belt clamps using M3x22+ screws (I used M3x25), use washers if you have. Don't tighten them completely until after you've inserted the belts (if they don't go in, check if you have elephants foot or if there's some filament where it shouldn't be). Last, tighten your belts and completely screw in the belt clamp screws. Done!
AI Analysis: This object is a mechanical part designed for a printer, specifically a direct drive system component. It is used to attach a belt to the printer's movement mechanism, enabling precise and controlled motion. The part features a pink and black assembly with visible wiring and mounting points, indicating its role in the printer's operational system.
