BMW N55 / GS6 Transmission Shallow Clutch Alignment Tool A shallow clutch alignment tool designed for BMW N55 applications and GS6 manual transmissions where standard alignment tools are too long. Most available clutch alignment tools extend past the pressure plate locking plate fins , preventing the pressure plate from seating correctly. This tool is intentionally shortened so it fits behind the pressure plate , allowing proper installation. Features Shallow design that clears pressure plate locking plate fins Allows clutch alignment without interfering with pressure plate seating Accepts a 14 mm hex tool through the locking plate for easy adjustment Designed for 3D printing and quick installation Tested Configuration This tool has been tested on: Transmission: GS6-45BZ Engine platform: F30 BMW N55 Flywheel: Lightweight dual-mass flywheel Clutch: LUK 335is clutch kit How It Works Insert the alignment tool behind the pressure plate . Install the pressure plate normally. Use a 14 mm hex through the locking plate to engage the rear of the alignment tool. Adjust alignment while tightening the pressure plate. This avoids the clearance issues found with traditional long clutch alignment tools.
