Description

This is a truss to create a more scale looking bridge with popsicle sticks. Print two truss pieces and add popsicle sticks to create the scale bridge. They slide into the bottom piece of the truss. I found it easiest to put all the sticks in one truss, then start on either end and go stick by stick into the second truss piece. Given the sticks are not always perfectly uniform, you may need a dab of glue to secure them. This will be useful for some rc cars (especially the Axial SCX30) and perhaps other diorama and/or modeling purposes. The holes in the trusses are 2mm tall and 10mm wide, roughly the standard for popsicle sticks. They are either 180 mm or 240 mm long. Unfortunately, you cannot scale the model as it will prevent the popsicle sticks from having a snug fit. I printed with PLA+ in various brands and the truss has been plenty strong. March 22, 2026 update: Both 240 mm bridge files were updated to include standardized spacing between the popsicle sticks. Also added an extension piece for the middle, making bridges 2 popsicle sticks wide. This opens the door for SCX24, TRX4m, Redcat Ascent, Hobbyplus and other 1/24 and 1/18 scale crawlers.
