Description
Instead of using clips to guide the PTFE tube, I decided to integrate it into the chain itself. This link will not work with the OEM chain , so it must be used with ViniS' or similar chain links. It may even work on printers other than the K1 series 🤷 (not recommended for use with K1 Max via @SerenityValley9) I saw an opportunity once I found out about printable cable chains. The sound that the old tube guide clips I was using would make when it would bang against the vents of my frame riser were a bit comical at first (yes, it sounds like exactly what you're thinking), but it quickly became annoying. I also noticed a bit of plastic powder forming on the old clips (from the aforementioned banging and snagging), so I knew I had to do something about it. There isn't much to this print. The support is integrated into the model, so no extra supports are needed. I used 4 of these along with 23 of the regular links for a total of 27, but you can print as many as you need. I recommend something higher temp like ABS or ASA, but you can also probably get away with PETG. Mine are printed in ABS.
