Description

This is a fine tuning of someone else's idea: Gridfinity with walls of cardboard. This .scad file allows rebuilding for any grid size bin, with and without magnets. The version by Daviel Black is a great idea, but the corner radius is a little off, so that they didn't click into the grid fully. I tried using the .scad file from “Cardboard Gridfinity Bins (rebuilt for better accuracy)” by OnTake, but I had trouble getting the scad file to work for me. Also, it lacked magnet holes, which I think are fun. My version uses OnTake's measurements, but with the option for magnets or screws. It also has the option for a lip (for labeling). The .scad file is cleaned up, formatted, and made more parametric for ease of maintenance, customization, and inclusion in other files. I switched to the non-lite versions of the bins in Kennetek's module. (OnTake uses the Lite version) These cover the interior of the base, which I like better for aesthetic reasons. I used the idea from “Cardboard Gridfinity Bins” by Daviel Black, the algorithm and measurements from “Cardboard Gridfinity Bins (rebuilt for better accuracy)” by OnTake, and the bins from “Gridfinity Rebuilt in OpenSCAD” by Kennetek. The original Gridfinity idea is Zack Freedman's.
