Description
Little acrobats made of cement. This is a mold for the wonderful ' Balancing Acrobats ' by nilson_fx . It was designed for printers with 0.4mm diameter nozzle and it is to be printed with TPU: 3 walls, 0.2mm layer height, and 6 bottom/top layers. TPU is flexible enough to uncast the cement acrobat, you should try and reuse the mold. The acrobat is 10mm thick. Cement typically takes about 24 to 48 hours to set, it reaches its full strength after approximately 25 to 28 days. During the first week, it may only achieve around 70% of its final strength. You can still uncast it after 24h, but note that it will still be very fragile. Now it's a good time to correct some seams or straight out some imperfections with a moist cloth rag, proceed with caution not to break it. Let it rest at least for a week before playing with it. Happy hacking! P.S. I've written a small howto about casting cement and 3d printing.
