Centering Ring for 55 mm Spools This is a remix (or to be more specific a simple but in my opinion very helpful extension) of the spool holder by tcosta . SUNLU spools have an inner diameter of 55 mm , which can cause them to sit off-center on the universal spool holder from tcosta . When the spool is not properly centered, it may tip as filament is pulled, causing the heavy side to roll upward and sometimes flip over. This can lead to a sudden unwinding of filament and tangling. The centering ring solves this problem by automatically centering the spool on the axle, ensuring smooth rotation and preventing off-axis mounting. The ring can be clipped onto both the male and female ends of the “Drybox Axle – 50 mm Universal Threaded v05” by tcosta , and is suitable for spools with an inner diameter of 55 mm .
