Description
This is a replacement lid for a 4L Cereal Box that can hold silica gel and a rectangular hygrometer. They lid is designed so that you can run filament through the container to directly print out of the boxes, but you will need some kind of spool holder for that. (e.G. from the original “ Filament Drybox Cheap and Simple ” project) Required parts: M10 PTFE Fittings Rectangular Hygrometer 4L Cereal Box Check if your boxes fit these. before printing, there a plenty of similar looking boxes available. The ones you are looking for have an oval opening for the lid and three lines on the sides at the front. Look at the original drybox project for more reference on the boxes. Also it's a good idea to first print only the lid part to test if the M10 threading works for you. The tolerances are quite tight, and you might need to adjust a bit. Assembly is very easy: Remove the original lid Take off the original seal from the lid. (Be careful, they easily rip) Put the seal on the printed lid. Snap the hygrometer in the holder. Pour some silica gel into the container. (Don't cover the threadings of course) Thread the container on the lid and place the holder inbetween so that it's pressed by the lid and container.
