Description
These modular cable label rings are designed to help you clearly organize and identify cables using customizable text. Each ring fits cables with a diameter of approximately 5 mm (0.2") and features individual letters that can be combined to form words, tags, or full descriptions. Every ring includes four identical letters arranged evenly around its circumference. This ensures that the label remains readable from any angle, regardless of how the cable is positioned or rotated. A key feature of this design is the integrated alignment hole, which allows you to pass a standard 1.75 mm filament through multiple rings. This keeps all letters perfectly aligned in a straight line, preventing them from rotating independently and maintaining a clean, professional look across the entire label. The project supports multiple languages. A wide range of characters is included to cover many national alphabets. This makes the system versatile for international use and multilingual environments. Additionally, full customization is possible. A Blender source file is included, allowing you to modify the font, create custom characters, or design entirely new symbols. This gives you complete control over the labeling system, making it adaptable to any specific workflow or requirement. The rings are easy to install, durable, and reusable—making them ideal for cable management in workspaces, server setups, 3D printing environments, or home electronics. Key Features: Fits ~5 mm (0.2") diameter cables Modular letter system – build any word or label Four-sided lettering for full readability from any angle Integrated 1.75 mm filament hole for alignment and locking Prevents unwanted rotation of individual rings Supports multiple languages (see included list) Customizable fonts and symbols via Blender source file Durable and reusable design Clean and professional cable organization Full list of supported languages: 🇧🇦 bosanski 🇨🇿 čeština 🇩🇪 deutsch 🇩🇰 dansk 🇪🇪 eesti 🇪🇸 español 🇬🇧 english 🇫🇮 suomi 🇫🇷 français 🇭🇷 hrvatski 🇭🇺 magyar 🇱🇹 lietuvių 🇱🇻 latviešu 🇳🇴 norsk 🇵🇱 polski 🇵🇹 português 🇷🇴 română 🇷🇸 srpski 🇸🇮 slovenščina 🇸🇪 svenska 🇸🇰 slovenčina 🇹🇷 türkçe Printing Recommendations: Material: PLA, PETG Layer height: 0.16–0.2 mm Infill: 100% recommended for durability Walls: 2–3 perimeters No supports required If you want to change the font, to generate a new set of markers you need to run the Python script "save-stl.py" in Blender’s Text Editor window. It will recreate the collection of markers in the "exports" folder located in the same folder as the file "Cable Marker Characters.blend". The "base" object has a "Remesh" modifier to simplify the model for slicers such as Bambu. The Bambu Slicer does not have automatic mesh repair. For example, Cura Slicer can handle imperfect objects, and for it the "Remesh" modifier can be removed. If you want to add a character, add it to the "chars" array in the Python script "save-stl.py" and run it again.
