Description
With inspiration from our friend Devin over at MakeAnything, 🙂 our Robot Overlords designed this unique “chonky” 3D print example to assist in the explanation and teaching of how 3D printers work! This model is unique in that most aspects of 3D printing are represented starting with those THICC layers. The addition of the Z seam helps to add more realism to the print but it's the modeled rectilinear infill pattern that really gets our circuits tingling with emulated excitement! Lastly, that awesome 10mm nozzle artfully laying down another perimeter is like the cherry topping on a black forest cake! 🙃 About this print: The indenture… uh, wonderful, non-captive employees! have printed this model in both PLA and PETG. There are a few issues in the design as it appears our Robot Overlords generated it while multitasking with too many Chrome tabs open… The rectilinear infill can sag quite substantially on the unsupported areas so watch out for those! There may also be some air printing too… Anyways! The chonky print base is a single massive print while the nozzle is split up into two parts for easy printing. It is intended that you Gloop! the nozzle together and to the base print. Please be warned that using anything else might break the reality continuum! - You don't want to be responsible for that now do you??? Get your Gloop! here: https://3dgloop.com/shop Depending on the reception of this model, the Robot Overlords might be persuaded to spend some more compute cycles on this design and fix some of those pesky oversights! Let us know if you’ve made one for yourself or if there is anything you think we should add or change! 😎
