Description
The original design is great for adjusting the pressure on the drylins, but the perfect “stiction” for the ones that I have were easily slipping off the rod-cradle (possibly also caused by me printing them on the side rather than on the back), and tightening the screws more resulted in a lot of layer shifting on the diagonals, as you can see bellow. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media This remix adds a lip around the bearing holes to prevent this issue. Made specifically for the RJ4JP-01-08 drylins, which is 24mm wide. BOM Just like the original design, it requires an additional: 8x M3 heat inserts 8x M3x12 screws A non-permanent threadlock solution (like the Loctite 242 and possibly the 222 too) is also highly recommended to prevent the screws from loosing up over time due to the printer vibrations. Print settings Print the parts on the given orientation (with them lying on the back), so support is only added to the countersunk holes and not to the lips. Tip If you already printed the models from @idconvict , you can just print the two back parts to reduce the amount of work involved on the assembly.
