WIP (THE PRINT IS LONG AND USES LOTS OF FILAMENT) Not a big fan of using magnets or extra hardware, so the Clickfinity Refined system seemed like a good alternative to try. I wanted a way to sort and organize items in my Samla 11L boxes, and this looked like the perfect opportunity. I started with the gridfinity-adapter-for-ikea-samla-box-11l and remixed it with the interlocking system from Clickfinity Refined , so it can be assembled without tools. The Clickfinity Refined system worked as expected, bins lock in place (that said, Samla boxes aren’t the ideal base since the bottom flexes, i.e. Locking several bins next to each other can be a bit tricky) However I ran into two main limitations: - When moving the box, a second stacked layer of bins can shift around and make a mess. - Accessing the bottom layer requires removing the bins stacked on top. To address this, I remixed the Clickfinity baseplate by adding the bin profile, so they can stack directly on top of regular Gridfinity elements. The design lets you securely lock multiple baseplates together (and it’s even more stable if longer bins are locked between them). For extra security, a dab of super glue can also be used. WHAT TO PRINT: The first layer of baseplates, can be downloaded from Clickfinity Refined (as no need for a bottom lip), use PETG no supports The interlocking piece as well (CFR plate to plate.stl from Clickfinity Refined ), use PETG no supports Upper baseplates layers , use the one I have uploaded. Use PETG with supports Corners use the one I have uploaded (flip on X, and on Y) THIS IS A WIP I’ve added the Samla Corners along with two baseplates (2x5 and 5x5), plus a small 1x1 test piece. Printing a 5x5 takes a long time and uses a considerable amount of material. I’ll be uploading more baseplates, but before going further I’d like to hear from the community, both on how this design could be optimized and whether it’s actually useful. I’m starting to wonder if Samla boxes are really the best fit for this approach. TODO: - Add more baseplates - Integrate Clickfinity Refined Lite
