Description
A simple 50mm segment of DIN rail that clips into a V/T slot extrusion. I have included the FreeCAD file too with the base model and all 3 models with holes. It also includes a segment of 2020 T-slot extrusion I sketched. It takes a bit of force to press into the slot, but it does go. It also has enough clearance that it can slide freely on the rail, so there only need to be T-nuts on the ends of a rail to keep the segment in place. Printing: I used PLA+ with all of Orca slicer's “precise” settions enabled, 100% concentric infill, slim tree supports, and mouse ear brim. Dry filament. I did not dry my filament and it really shows in the horrible stringing. Orient the model vertically and add support to the top clips. The holes don't need supports. On the P1S doing 200mm/s it takes around 22min to print one segment in solid draft mode. Post processing: If the screws dont fit in the holes, then just run a 3/4/5mm drill bit through them, but they should have plenty of spacing as long as the part cooling isn't zero and walls are accurate. Usage: Use M3/4/5 x8mm screw with a washer. 10mm screws should work. but might need extra washers for proper spacing in the T slot.
