Color Blended Relief Cameo

This is an STL printed laying down at low layer heights with different colored filaments with the goal of blending the filament colors to make both a multi-color and exaggerated depth image much like a cameo or bas relief. The file will load as a square STL, but the outside of the circle is 0 height and once sliced will disappear. ***Warning - these files take a long time to slice, especially the bigger ones. Tens of minutes in some cases*** Print at 100% infill at no more than 0.08mm layer height with a 0.16mm base layer height. (0.04mm layer heights are better) 0.2mm nozzle is recommended, but a 0.4 or even 0.6 can prove the concept and give a nice appearance of depth. Consider concentric top infill. Colors and Z Swap Heights for Example Image Black - until 0.44mm @ 0.04 (0.48mm @0.08) Navy Blue - until 0.6mm @ 0.04 (0.64mm @0.08) Medium Green - Until 0.68mm @ 0.04 (0.72mm @0.08) Light Blue - until 1.04mm @ 0.04 (1.04mm @0.08) White - the rest. All numbers are given as in PrusaSlicer or BambuStudio - it is where you put the swap command. Exact filaments used were all PETG JAYO Black - ~0.3mm Transmissivity IIID MAX Navy Blue ~2.0mm Transmissivity HZST3D Green ~3.0mm Transmissivity TPOIMNS Light Blue ~4.5mm Transmissivity JAYO White ~9.0mm Transmissivity You do not HAVE to use these filaments except for the white. Do you want to qualify the Transmissivity of YOUR filaments. Try the FilaScope it's and easy way to work out your numbers. But it is important to know that different filaments have different amounts of light they transmit. Black is generally highly opaque so most blacks can be used interchangeably. Same is true of Navy Blue, it is fairly opaque and most should work fine, especially as a base layer. Make sure your green and light blue are NOT silks or shiny. Most brands should be okay, but I used HS. Polymaker Dark Green is a silk and will not work. The white REALLY needs to be Jayo White PETG or META PLA. SUNLU Meta should work as well, but the PETG isn't certain. This filament has a very high translucency without being milky. That allows stacking up multiple layers to build a smooth and gentle gradient. Happy Printing!
