Description
A smaller version of the Simple Filament Swatch by Jens Willmer. I found the original a bit too big for me as I'm trying to keep my workbench as compact as possible. Smaller swatches are also quicker to print and use less filament. Works great in combination with a label maker. I added a holder to store swatches vertically, which is nice because it's compact enough to keep on your workbench as a reference without being in the way. So you can either store them this way or keychain-style. Update 2023-02-09: New chamfered swatches and holders should help for those that have some elephant foot issues on their printers (and for materials that expand a bit when printed) and should overall be a better model to print. I kept the original models for those that already started a collection with the prior version. Update 2022-11-09: I added a holder with looser tolerances for people who had issues with the original holder being too tight. I'd recommend choosing the looser model over the original (named “tighter”) unless you're confident your printer is well-calibrated. Note that the holder is slightly bigger than the original because the spacing between the swatches remains the same. There is also a new 10-slot holder in both tight and loose versions. See the original for details on the swatch's design. Source Fusion 360 archive included. Print external perimeters first for dimensional accuracy. Post your makes! :)
