Description

Originally printed the Drybox from Prusa Guy but the first Prusament spool I inserted was due to some production fail 2 mm wider and could not fit in. So tried the mod from DG-RoboTek that gave me the extra milimeters but already during the build I saw it could be still better, so here is my variant. I use stronger 20x5x3 mm magnets (force 24 N) instead of original 20x6x2 mm (force ~14 N) and moved them closer to the wall, they are now only 0.6 mm deep inside. The box now holds tight inside and with the 2 mm silicone provides good sealing on the back. Also added some extra magnets around the door, they keep the door closed nicely. Up to you if you use all of them or skip some for reduced force. All magnets are inserted after complete print and can be removed again thanks to the side hole. The spool holder cylinder is longer maximizing the space inside including the corresponding depression in the door. The cylinder ending also helps to hold the spool even with door open. If you want to stay with the mod from DG-RoboTek, try at least the Cylinder-V2.stl holder, it will help you when changing the spool a lot! UPDATE 2 Feb 2026: Added new V3 spoolholder options for Core One +. Thanks to @sdr_4113352 for testing! You will need supports from bed except the "nosup" variant. I added also the puck remix with reduced base to gain 3 mm more space for spools. Modified models are the ones with V2 suffix, the rest you don't need to print again in case you have them from the original model. Humidity sensor: https://www.prusa3d.com/cs/produkt/temperature-sensor/ Magnets: 36x https://topmagnesy.com/produkt/magnes-neodymowy-plytkowy-mpl-20x5x3-n38/ and 2x optional 20x6x2 for the Silica Box if you want Sealing: 2 meters https://www.e-texim.cz/tesnici-snura-silikon-pr-2mm/ 2x screw M3x20 Print instructions: The back parts had warping issues with the default slicer settings for PETG. The best solution seemed to raise the chamber temperature from 35C to at least 40C and also close the top vent. Then it printed perfectly without any helper disc or brim. Other settings are up to your preference for strength, I used 4 perimeters, 0.4 mm HF nozzle with 0.2 mm layer BALANCED profile.
