Description
A pair of braces for the Core One L roof rack to place the Creality Space Pi 4X filament dryer. Note: I noticed, a bit late, that if these braces are used, the HSW holes of the roof rack won't line up with the HSW geometry. I'll probably address that soon with an updated / alt version of the braces. Printing Material : PC recommended for structural strength and heat resistance. Nozzle : 0.4mm Layer height : 0.2mm structural Infill : 15% gyroid or whatever Perimeters : 3 Solid layers : 5 top, 4 bottom Brim : 8mm wide with default 0.1 separation gap. Without brim the will likely significant warping. Supports : add supports so the cutout for the roof rack is supported Bill of materials Printed parts: COL-roof-rack--accessory--space-pi-4x.stl contains both braces needed. Non-printed parts: 4x M3x16mm socket screws to attach braces to roof rack, they replace 4x M3x12mm of the roof rack BoM. Assembly Remove brims and supports. Remove the 4 M3x12mm from the roof rack top, if you assembled it, the 2nd most from the outer edge. Align the braces with the screw holes of the roof rack, screw holes should be nearer to the center. Refer to the photos if needed. Attach the braces with the M3 screws. Place the roof rack on the Core One L, place the Space Pi X4 on the roof rack braces, make sure that everything seats nicely, it's a snug fit. Consider leaving a make and sharing your roof rack adventures. A like is appreciated if you got some use out of this model. Changelog 2026-04-17: initial version
