Description

I Realized this write up / description is very weak…. and that picture isnt showing the full size, so heres a link of that big settings on imgur… creality k1 riser by digital, print settings - Imgur , from there you can download and open the image in your perfered image editor, and zoom in on all the settings FOR THE vent infil options: make sure you make it so theres only walls, no top or bottom layers Made in fusion, exported to creality print, exported stls… if you print as slow as i did… About 8 hours per wall piece ( i printed one at a time with normal gyroid supports, with a overhang angle of 88% about 2 ½ hours for all 6 the inner vent pieces about 2 ½ hours for all 6 outter vent pieces another 5 hours for the vent covers…. again im printing everything EXTREMELY slow for quality ultimately i used about… 600-650g of filament Printed in Protopasta Magnetic Iron PLA so i could detail it by scuffing it and rusting it lightly over time….also so i could use magnets to attach things to it… update Magnetic cover is now in the file, all things considered if no issues with printer, everything SHOULD fit together just fine… i used these magnets to attach the cover to the vents… 30Pack Small Neodymium Magnets, 0.59’’(15mm) Industrial Strength Round Base Permanent Rare Earth Magnets Heavy Duty Disc Magnets with Countersunk Hole: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific note: if you go the magnet route like i did…. uh either you need to print the vents themselves with magnetic iron pla… figure out how to add magnets to the model to get it to attach… alternatively, you can just print the solid vent inserts…. Used JP3dArt's model to get the basic dimensions down, some notable changes from his is his walls were thinner (used less materials but…cause issues with the drag chain poping up on the lip) mine is thicker, so drag chain should just but up against it, but not pop up on the lip.. mine is also taller, and the holes for the custom inserts are 25.4mm tall…. Update Added picture of the settings i used when i printed the 4 corner pieces incase anyone had any questions Update : Added solid-vent-insert+magnet.stl…. its just the solid insert with holes for 5mm magnets (mine measured 4.9mm, i made the hole 4.91mm… this is for those that arnt using magnetic iron pla…. so any material + 2 magnets per vent + the magnets on the cover Updated the backright file, its now offset 5-5.5mm to the left of its original position, turns out creality may have adjusted the frame on some k1's cause some people reported the model not fitting around the cable chain… so i adjusted the offset slightly to the left…
