CSM crank arm with counterweight

If you stop knitting and the crank handle is not in its down or up position it can happen, that its own weight forces it to turn and thus also turns the camshell. In knitting direction this is no problem, but the opposite is. With the added counterweight you can easily adjust the force of the weight of the handle so that both cancel each other out and nothing moves if it shouldn't :-) I filled mine with BBs completely and everything works as expected. You need 3xM3 screws, about 6mm, for the lid.
