Description
This puzzle is a modified and expanded version of the classic Roll Over Puzzle originally invented by John Harris. The original puzzle contains loose cubes inside a box. In this version the cubes are captured inside the frame so they cannot fall out while still being able to roll freely. The puzzle was redesigned for 3D printing and expanded with several cube configurations and multiple puzzle challenges. The puzzle box has a 3×2 layout and comes in multiple difficulty levels depending on how many cubes are placed inside the frame. Difficulty levels Version Cubes Difficulty Version 1 1 cube very easy Version 2 2 cubes easy Version 3 3 cubes medium Version 4 4 cubes hard Version 5 5 cubes very hard Challenge 1 – Empty Top Move the cubes so that blank faces are on the top. Challenge 2 – Parallel Lines Rotate the cubes so that the line faces are on top and all lines are parallel. Challenge 3 – Number Match Each cube has a number on one face, and the box bottom contains numbered positions. The goal is to place each cube: above the matching number with the number face up with the correct orientation Note: In versions with fewer cubes, some numbers appear multiple times on the board. This means the puzzle can have more than one valid solution. Important: When assembling the puzzle, make sure that each cube is inserted with the numbered face pointing upward. After assembly the cubes should already be positioned in the correct locations and orientations, corresponding to the solved state of Challenge 3 (Number Match). Starting from this configuration ensures that all puzzle challenges are solvable. If the cubes are inserted in a different orientation, some challenges may become impossible to solve.
