Description

Preface I didn't have fusion and wanted to make a design using OpenSCAD. So I used @linearcline's example model, and cut out a 26mm diameter circle of the t-slot mount and used this to make a quick and dirty box/tablet-holder maker. Added an option to turn this into a box as well, just download and change the settings. I didn't bother doing the fancy stuff like chamfering etc. Its based on a box, and it works. If I have time I may redesign it as a linear extrusion instead. It works rather simply. Make a box. Cut out 26mm cylinders with 54mm height, then replace said cylinders with the t-slot STL files and voila! we have t-slot mountable thingis. As I wrote, quick and dirty. Works. QED. Print example Low-quality print attached. Apologies as it's based on an eSun PETG filament using a 0.6 nozzle that seems to string a lot compared the Overture which I normally use. But it will serve as a “good-enough” ™ example. How to use Download both .scad and .stl files Reference the .stl file in the .scad file Refer to the section “Parameters that can be changed”. Settings are commented, just change those. Tablets: For best results use the dimensions from your tablet manufacturer. Boxes: Change “front_panel_removed” to 0. Make sure your box's depth is enough, if not use “raisefrontwalls” to change the front wall height. Using it this way you can make a letter or document holder for example. See last image for an example. Reload changes until happy (F5), Render (F6), and export model as STL (F7). Do something with the STL file. Postface If you have fun drop a like or something - good to know its used and useful. Update(s) 230509: Changed the function so singular additional inserts can now be added; also added in an offset so that the reference insert position can be manually adjusted now. table_box_skadis_t_clip_v2.scad.
