Description

I got really tired of my cords twisting up when threading gooseneck accessories into the ball vise, such as lights, my mini fume extractor, etc. So I made this. The three “platforms” replace the existing platforms in the original model. They are slightly larger to give a bit more breathing room and have larger bores to accommodate the pegs. First, set the insert into the side of the peg (unless you're using the M8 version, then that goes down the hole in the peg). Then Glue the peg into the bore on the platform, taking care to make sure that the side with the insert faces outwards . There are 5 variations of pegs: M8 Insert 7mm with M3 insert 7mm with M4 insert 8mm with M3 insert 8mm with M4 insert The size of insert you use is up to you. I like the M4 version because it feels a bit more solid. the 7mm or 8mm is the size of the hex slot, flat-to-flat. the 8mm version can take standard M5 coupling nuts. the 7mm can take standard M4 coupling nuts and brass standoffs meant for M5. I recommend using 20mm versions of either one. The knob part is for the screw that locks the tool into place. You could use a screw of any kind, but if you want to use the knob I've included, your best bet is to use a 20mm long Hex-head screw. I trust you can figure out how to mount either a brass standoff or a coupling nut to your goosenecks. I would recommend using the 7mm version since you can make it work with either M4 or M5 hardware. Thread adapters will probably be your friend.
