Description
Turn your SMILEY into a lookalike historic piece from World War 2. Adds a considerable amount of weight to the front, over 600g of filament, so keep that in mind. Includes mock iron sights and backup iron sights if you do not want the mock ones and want to use a red dot or a scope. Compatible with Nightingale and Talon SMILEYs. Maximum supported barrel length is 35cm including a (small) muzzle device, 45cm without one. 35cm+ barrels will not be compatible with longer muzzle devices such as slug SCAR barrels. Hardware Required (Socket Head Bolts): 11 m3 nut 2 m3x8 or m3x10 bolt 2 m3x12 bolt (OPTIONAL) another 2 m3x12 bolts (for iron sights) 2 m3x16 or longer bolt 3 m3x30 bolts 2 m3x35 bolts - can be substituted for 2 m3x30 but I recommend m3x35. Print Orientation: Print as shown in the photo with supports. I recommend 4 walls minimum for all body kit parts, and 5 walls 100% infill for the handguard. Instructions: Assemble the rest of the SMILEY blaster as normal, except replace the “extended hand guard” with the file included in this upload. This includes installing the barrel and red cowl collet. Also install the extended red cowl rail. (OPTIONAL) Install the “front sight” and “rear sight” onto the "front body tube" and rear body tube" respectively now. 1 m3 nut and m3x12 bolt each. Install the “face plate” onto the “front body tube” with your 2 m3x8 bolts or 2 m3x10 bolts. Attach the “wood grip” to the “rear body tube” with 2 m3 nuts recessed into matching holes inside of the rear tube, and 2 m3x16 or longer bolts going through the wood grip and anchoring into the m3 nuts. Install the “bracket” to the “hand guard” using 1 m3 nut on the hexagon side and 1 m3x30 bolt on the circle side. Slide on the “rear body tube” to the rails of the “front hand guard”. Secure it in place with 4 m3 nuts, 2 m3x30 bolts for the picatinny rail on top, and 2 m3x35 bolts for the “front hand guard”. Hexagon slots for nuts, circle slots for bolts. Insert the last 2 m3 nuts into “front body tube” inside the slots within the extended flats (opposite side of the “face plate”). (OPTIONAL) Attach your muzzle device of choice to the barrel now. To remove this in the future, reverse step 9 to gain access to the barrel. Attach “front body tube” to “rear body tube” by sliding the two together, and securing in place with 2 m3x12 bolts.
