Description

A way to mount a Dell TB25 to the back of a monitor stand by (slightly) hijacking two of the VESA bolts. The dell dock only requires 2xM2.5 machine screws (I used M2.5x10mm found here for mine). However, the part has 4 screw holes in the plate to allow for multiple orientations as the need arises. FAQ: Why didn't you just use the official Dell mounting plate ? - I tried, but that only fits Dell monitors and monitor arms. Since I currently have an LG monitor and a Mount It! monitor arm, it didn't fit. Why didn't you use one of the dock mounts available? - At the time of writing, I was not able to find one that supported the specific dock I was using (TB25). Other docks are/were supported, but not that one. Presumably the machine screw size or alignment is different. Some of the dock mounts on Amazon also mount to the VESA mount but then monopolize the VESA mount so you cannot use a monitor arm.
