Description

Who doesn't want a trebuchet in their life?.. ..well now I have at least 5, the latest one cabable of throwing a small thing 20m's give or take. (60+ft for you heathens). I've a bit more testing to do before putting the STL's up for that one. /teaser This one is a basic fully printed, bar some cotton and a bit of cloth for the sling (unless you have soft TPU to hand, in which case there's an STL for that (auDHD sentence structure alert!)), trebuchet. Read the read me, leave some feedback, have some fun with it. I strongly advise safety specs, even for a little whipper snapper like this. Any questions regarding trebuchets in general will be pointed at the search engine of your choice, any questions on this specific one I'll do my best to answer. Eventually. Useful things to know. Watch the video to see how to, and not to fire it. Here's a video of the trebuchet in action Runs on 18x UK 2p's which are 26mm diameter, 2mm thickness and 7 grams weight, give or take a gnats left testicle. I fire balled up bits of tinfoil which work very nicely with a range of 6-10m (18-30ft) experiment with what size works best. (conventional wisdom suggests 0.5 gram for the projectile is good.) It's got a 5:1 arm ratio. I've guestimated the launch velocity at around 10-12 m/s
