Description
Designed to be used with 4 18" din rails. Assembly holes are sized for m5 screws. Print accessories as needed. Base Everything else mounts to the base, starting with the din rails. I recommend ASA, PC, or PETG for the base, as it needs more rigidity. The rest can be any material you like. Personally I would recommend ASA/ABS for everything because it's simple, prints nicely, has a great matte finish, is strong, takes threads well, and can handle higher temps if you keep it in the car one day. The drawers can be inserted to the side and then rotated to interlock with each other. Accessories All din rail clips should be printed on the clip side. if printed on the mating face, the layer lines are likely to split during removal. Soldering iron holder uses a 696zz bearing Light mount can be drilled for your choice of strip light, or you can add holes in your slicer to maintain walls. Solder spool mount needs supports for the hooks, and should be printed on the mounting face for best results. Airbrush holder needs a bit of support in the trigger pocket Fume extractor can be printed with supports or on the mounting base with brim. Helping hands prints are straightforward. Base can mostly be printed without support, with the exception of some at the upright ends and drawer flanges. Updates: 6-30-25, I started printing this finally and noticed that the uprights aren't very stable. I have updated the lip and groove feature from .2" to .5" to help reinforce it and will re-test soon.
