Description
DIY Home Air Purifier with HEPA Filters High-Performance • Silent • Modular • Do-It-Yourself Project Description I present an original home air purifier project — designed for high filtration efficiency, quiet operation, and simple assembly. This is a construction for those who like to know how things work in their home... and even better if they work thanks to them 😉 Filtration System – Double Power The project utilizes two cylindrical HEPA filters (Dyson Pure type). Dual-filter design: Increases the filtration surface area, improves airflow, and extends the lifespan of the filter cartridges. Pre-filter: A reusable cotton ventilation filter is applied to the outer surface to capture larger particles and protect the HEPA filter. Powerful and Adjustable Drive The heart of the construction is the FD-150 6” (150 mm) inline duct fan: Power: 75 W Capacity: up to 540 m³/h Control: A 50–230 V / 20 A voltage regulator allows for precise speed adjustment, enabling the device to operate at maximum performance or in near-silent mode. Construction and Materials The housing is designed for 3D printing. Assembly: Components are press-fitted, and the entire unit is secured with an M8 threaded rod once the filters are in place. Mounting: The fan is secured with its original mounting ring, and a diffuser at the outlet directs the airflow. Recommended Printing Materials: PET-G (Recommended) ABS PLA Hardware: M8 bolt/threaded rod (approx. 33 cm long) + 2 nuts. Assembly The project requires no gluing and allows for easy disassembly and filter replacement. The set includes STL models and assembly photos. Economy and Satisfaction The cost of building this purifier is significantly lower compared to ready-made devices with similar performance. This project offers real savings, full control over the build, and the immense satisfaction of creating your own device. Support the Project This project was born out of passion and commitment.
